1⃣There normally a thread on the forum called "Trip Wire Requests"
Paste the link of the castle you would like to be trip wired there, and hopefully people will send them.
2⃣A better way is to look on the map and find members of the alliance who have castles NEAR to you. They will be yellow dots on the map. Send them all a message with your castle link asking nicely for trip wires. Because they are near to your castle, they will be able, should you be attacked, to send defensive help much more quickly than a player who is days away. You should, of course, then send trip wires to them in return.
Players who live in different time zones throughout the world make for great trip wires. This is because they are often online when you are in bed, so you are safe from night time attacks too!
In this way we can all sleep safely knowing we are all looking out for each other.
The ideal trip is 8 spears and one hand cart, failing that 4 spears and one hc.
If the trip goes off and you lose one troop, it's probably a 101. Replace the spear and remain alert.
If the trip goes off and your troops are halved its real- send support ASAP.
