Starting building

Your priority when starting a new castle is always the production buildings

Wood

Stone

Ore

with out these resources you cant do anything so you need to build these as fast as you can.

However there is no point having resources if you have no where to store them so at the same time as upgrading your production you also need to upgrade your stores.

Wood store

Stone store

Ore store

I personally build the production to level 25 and the stores to to level 20.

However if you are less active then you can upgrade your production to less than that depending on how active you are it is all down to personal choice.

Other Buildings

KEEP

your keep is where you exchange resources for both copper and silver. The higher the level of your keep the cheaper both copper and silver become, it also takes less time for your transport to arrive back.

ARSENAL

The arsenal is where you recruit your troops there are two different categories if troops offensive and defensive.

Offensive

Swordsman

Archers

Lancers

Defensive

Spearmen

Crossbowmen

Armoured horse

each of the foot troops use one population per unit trained whereas each of the cavalry units use two population.

Each type of troop is better at attacking and defending a different type of unit. You can see how they compare by going into the arsenal then clicking on the unit you want to look at then scroll down. There you will see the statistics both attack and defence against each troop type the higher the number the better they are.

When first starting out you need to aim to have 150 of each defensive unit in each of your castles.

Upgrading your arsenal speeds up the amount of time it takes to recruit your units, to a total of saving 50% of your build time at level 30.

TAVERN

The tavern is where you can assign troops to do missions that will earn you resources.

Each of the missions uses a set amount if troops and lasts a certain amount of time. Be aware once a mission is going then you will not have access to those troops until it is finished.

A few of the missions also need resources to do but they do earn more than what it costs to do these.

I only level the tavern up to level seven as the missions past this point either use to many troops or last to long.

Utilising the tavern during the early days of playing this game is extremely helpful. You can get much more resources by doing them.

The troops you will need to do all missions for the first seven levels are as follows.

105 spearmen

110 swordsmben

105 archers

20 crossbowmen

30 armoured horse

LIBARY

This is where you do all research, these include.

unlocking new troops for the arsenal.

upgrades for your troops for both offense and defense.

unlocking higher levels for your farm.

at level 4 you will have the chance to research beer tester and level 8 wheelbarrow both of these add five percent to your production.

Upgrade this building to unlock new research

FORTIFICATIONS

Your forts are what protect your castle the higher the level if the fort the more troops the enemy will lose trying to take your castle.

FARM

The farm is what gives you your population, with out free people you cant do anything. so always keep in front with the upgrades on your farm.

you will have warnings if your population is getting low as the number of free people at the top of the screen will turn orange when you are getting low and then red when you have run out.

At full the farm will provide 5000 free people but these also have to be used for upgrading buildings and doing research as well as building troops.

with a castle fully upgraded you will end up with 4066 free pop for troops.

MARKET

The market it is where you terrain your hand and ox carts. handcarts can carry 500 of resources and use one pop, and ox carts will carry 2500 resources but use three pop. Level five market unlocks ox carts Wichita is why i stop there.

You can also trade resources in the market at a price the higher the level the less its costs but i find you don't really need to use it that often if at all so level five is enough

Max Building levels

in brackets is what i personally stop at.

SILVER

This is what you will use to capture each castle, as has already been said you exchange resources for silver.

When it is time for you to take your second castle you will need 1000 silver as you already have one castle. you select the amount of troops you will send as an attack then scroll to the bottom and select the amount of silver you need to send. This is 1000 silver for each castle you have. you then simply click attack.

SILVER MODE

this is where you stop upgrading buildings and training troops and just sell all resources for silver.

the levels you will need for this are

Keep level 8

Market level 5 (ox carts)

Production level 22

Stores level 17

doing this will gain you silver quickly

DIPLOMACY

✴ Orange is a vassal. Vassals receive support against any and all attacks unless under attack from another vassal

✳ Green are allies. Allies receive support from attacks not launched by vassals or other allies.

➿ Blue are the alliances with NAPs. These receive NO support of any kind. It simply means that we won't kill them all without letting them know first 😂

🈲 Red are our enemies. Only support they get is our offence troops knocking down doors and 'taking care' of their wives.
